INDIANAPOLIS — Although Coach Mike Woodson was disappointed that the N.B.A.suspended Carmelo Anthony for Thursday’s game against the Pacers, there was little time to bemoan the decision during the Knicks’ morning shootaround.
“That’s their decision, and we just have to move on,” Woodson said. “We can’t go back. We have to live for the next day. There is not a lot we can do as an organization. I have to get these guys ready to play tonight.”
The 28-year-old rookie Chris Copeland replaced Anthony in the starting lineup. Anthony, the second-leading scorer in the league entering Thursday (29 points per game), has missed six games because of injuries, and the Knicks were 3-3 without him.
